Sunyata Association
   {Public Charity}

The Sunyata Association works in the intersection of effectiveness (human relationships & information) and efficiency (process & technology) to optimize individual and organization value, performance, wellness, and contribution.  Founded in 2004 and approved by the IRS in 2006, The Sunyata Association is a 501(c)(3) Public Benefit Charitable {EIN: 20-5938843} organization that provides management, integration, and operations support to non-profit and government organizations, communities, and community groups — that are impacted by, and/or addressing extinction-level issues and solutions. The Sunyata Association initiates and/or delivers not-for-profit educational programs, projects, services, and products to address extinction-level public policy issues and solutions.

The Sunyata Association is dedicated to the work of:
  • “Community” as our central focus for addressing extinction-level and/or critical issues with regards to social justice, economic, environmental, and spiritual well-being.
  • “Compassion” as the foundation for all of our relationships and our work together — we commit to the compassion practice of Hearing, Seeing, and Loving (H-S-L) our selves; each other; our groups, organizations, and communities; and our ecosystems.
  • “Collective Action” as our means for efficiently, fairly, and effectively working together to address extinction-level and/or critical issues — and to discover and promote the value propositions of being in generative relationships with each other.

The mission of the Sunyata Association is to achieve breakthrough levels of effectiveness and efficiency by optimizing the integration of processes, technology, human relationships, and information. Our approach is a whole-systems design, whole-person, and whole-life cycle approach to optimize individual and organizational wellness through education, continuous improvement, prevention, intervention, and community. We focus on positively impacting leadership, operational measures and metrics, and wellness, by leveraging our insights and processes — working to ensure that people are in right relationship, and do the right things, the right ways, at the right times, for the right reasons.

Green Economy Optimization
The purpose of our "Green Economy" focus is to architect and collaboratively implement a social movement that transforms individual and collective "Consciousness", lifestyles, practices, processes, policies, and technology — from a "Consumer" orientation to an economic "Net Provider" of food, energy, water, and wellness. We use this approach to optimize the efficient and effective addressing of extinction-level and/or critical issues — with a community-centered focus, and with compassion as the “business practice”

The "Solidarity Project" was inspired by meetings with Van Jones, founder of the Ella Baker Center for Human Rights in Oakland. We are inviting people to participate in a pattern of engagements that optimize the efficient and effective addressing of extinction-level and/or critical issues in the Cascadia Bio-region.

The "Ecopreneuer Project" is a project developed by Stacy Noland.  We are are working with "Stacy" to analyze and complete the design and implementation of a scalable end-to-end entrepreneurial education program focused on the Green Economy that brings forth social, environmental, economic, and spiritual well- being in the Cascadia Bio-region.

Integral Education & Leadership
The "Seeds of Compassion" project was a 5-day gathering with His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama to highlight the vision, science, and programs of early social, emotional, and cognitive learning. It focused providing parents, educators, and business and community leaders with an opportunity to better understand the real benefits of compassion, and concrete steps on how to bring compassion into their lives. We were involved in the design and hosting of "Reflection & Conversation Spaces" during the event. We are now supporting ongoing community outreach and activation.

The "Wisdom School" is a project being developed by Charles Kouns. We are working with "Charlie" to develop and implement a scalable end-to-end K-12 education program. Our focus is on the comprehensive identification and development of multiple intelligences.

The "H-S-L” Experiment" is an ongoing Sunyata Group-generated initiative. We are developing and delivering “H-S-L” workshops and programs:
  • ”H-S-L” Programs in the Schools
  • ”H-S-L” practices at Conferences (i.e.,"Seeds of Compassion Conference")
  • ”H-S-L” Workshops for “Non-Profits”
  • Multiple Intelligences Development Programs in the Schools
  • Leadership Workshops in the Schools
  • Leadership Workshops for “Non-Profits”
  • Leadership Support for “Non-Profits”
  • Interfaith Spirituality Workshops

Integral Wellness

  • Festivale

"Festivale" is a cultivated field effect in which we find ourselves in each other — 'I come to get "Me-Us”' (I come to find me as I come to find you). Ultimately our intention is to manifest the field of “Festivale” in every interaction and in every place
